Enabling Javascript

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Version 4.x for PC
  1. Click the View menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom radio button, then click Settings.
  4. Scroll down to Active Scripting, and click "Enable".
  5. Click OK.
Version 4.x for Macintosh
  1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Expand the Web Browser menu.
  3. Click the Web Content subheading.
  4. Under Active Content, select "Enable scripting".
  5. Click OK.
Version 5.x and 6.0
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom Level button.
  4. Scroll down to the Scripting section.
  5. Select "Enable" under Active Scripting.
  6. Click OK.
Mozilla/Firefox
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Click on the Web Features heading.
  3. Select "Enable JavaScript".
  4. Click OK.
Netscape Navigator
Version 4.x
  1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Advanced heading.
  3. Select "Enable Javascript" and "Enable style sheets".
  4. Click OK.
Version 6.x
  1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Advanced heading.
  3. Select "Enable Javascript for Navigator".
  4. Click OK.
Opera
Version 5.x
  1. Click the File menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Plugins heading on the left.
  3. Select "Enable Javascript".
  4. Click OK.
Version 6.0
  1. Click the File menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Multimedia heading on the left.
  3. Select "Enable Javascript".
  4. Click OK.
Version 7.x and 8.0
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Quick Preferences.
  2. Check "Enable JavaScript".
Enabling Cookies

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Version 4.x for PC
  1. Click the View menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
  2. Click on the Advanced tab.
  3. Double-click Security.
  4. Double-click Cookies.
  5. Select "Always accept cookies".
  6. Click OK.
Version 4.x for Macintosh
  1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Expand the Receiving Files menu.
  3. Click the Cookies subheading.
  4. Under When Receiving Cookies, select "Never ask".
  5. Click OK.
Version 5.x
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom Level button.
  4. Scroll down to the Cookies section.
  5. Select "Enable" under Allow per-session cookies.
  6. Click OK.
Version 6.0
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab.
  3. Move the slider up for a higher level of privacy or down for a lower level of privacy.
  4. Click OK.
Mozilla/Firefox
  1. Click the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy heading.
  3. In the Cookies section, select "Allow sites to set cookies".
  4. Click OK.
Netscape Navigator
Version 4.x
  1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Advanced heading.
  3. In the Cookies section, select "Accept all cookies" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server".
  4. Click OK.
Version 6.x
  1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the arrow next to the Advanced heading to expand it.
  3. Select "Cookies" from the drop down list of items.
  4. Select the radio button next to either the "Enable all cookies" or "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" options.
  5. Click OK.
Opera
Version 5.x
  1. Click the File menu and select Preferences
  2. Click on the Privacy heading on the left
  3. Under the Cookies heading on the right, there will be two drop down lists.
  4. In the first drop down, select "Automatically accept all cookies".
  5. In the second drop down, select "Accept from any servers" or "Don't accept third party cookies".
  6. Click OK.
Version 6.0
  1. Click the File menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Privacy heading on the left.
  3. Under the Cookies heading on the right, there will be two drop down lists.
