Enabling Javascript
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Version 4.x for PC
- Click the View menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click the Custom radio button, then click Settings.
- Scroll down to Active Scripting, and click "Enable".
- Click OK.
Version 4.x for Macintosh
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Expand the Web Browser menu.
- Click the Web Content subheading.
- Under Active Content, select "Enable scripting".
- Click OK.
Version 5.x and 6.0
- Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to the Scripting section.
- Select "Enable" under Active Scripting.
- Click OK.
Mozilla/Firefox
- Click the Tools menu and select Options.
- Click on the Web Features heading.
- Select "Enable JavaScript".
- Click OK.
Netscape Navigator
Version 4.x
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Advanced heading.
- Select "Enable Javascript" and "Enable style sheets".
- Click OK.
Version 6.x
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Advanced heading.
- Select "Enable Javascript for Navigator".
- Click OK.
Opera
Version 5.x
- Click the File menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Plugins heading on the left.
- Select "Enable Javascript".
- Click OK.
Version 6.0
- Click the File menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Multimedia heading on the left.
- Select "Enable Javascript".
- Click OK.
Version 7.x and 8.0
- Click the Tools menu and select Quick Preferences.
- Check "Enable JavaScript".
Enabling Cookies
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Version 4.x for PC
- Click the View menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Double-click Security.
- Double-click Cookies.
- Select "Always accept cookies".
- Click OK.
Version 4.x for Macintosh
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Expand the Receiving Files menu.
- Click the Cookies subheading.
- Under When Receiving Cookies, select "Never ask".
- Click OK.
Version 5.x
- Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
- Click on the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to the Cookies section.
- Select "Enable" under Allow per-session cookies.
- Click OK.
Version 6.0
- Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options from the drop down box.
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Move the slider up for a higher level of privacy or down for a lower level of privacy.
- Click OK.
Mozilla/Firefox
- Click the Tools menu and select Options.
- Click on the Privacy heading.
- In the Cookies section, select "Allow sites to set cookies".
- Click OK.
Netscape Navigator
Version 4.x
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Advanced heading.
- In the Cookies section, select "Accept all cookies" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server".
- Click OK.
Version 6.x
- Click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the arrow next to the Advanced heading to expand it.
- Select "Cookies" from the drop down list of items.
- Select the radio button next to either the "Enable all cookies" or "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" options.
- Click OK.
Opera
Version 5.x
- Click the File menu and select Preferences
- Click on the Privacy heading on the left
- Under the Cookies heading on the right, there will be two drop down lists.
- In the first drop down, select "Automatically accept all cookies".
- In the second drop down, select "Accept from any servers" or "Don't accept third party cookies".
- Click OK.
Version 6.0
- Click the File menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Privacy heading on the left.
